As a Program Manager, you are responsible for coordinating, organising and leading multidisciplinary development programmes within Contiweb. You play a crucial role in shaping the organisation’s future product and market position. With a strong focus on new business, you explore new market opportunities with Business Development and the Management Team, analyse customer needs, and translate these into promising development projects with recurring commercial potential. In addition, you add value by translating market insights from the installed base into improvements to existing products and services.

You act as the central hub between Engineering, Sales, Aftermarket, Operations, and external technology partners. You provide functional leadership to project teams, ensuring structure, progress and decision-making. You provide oversight, manage budgets and resources, and safeguard quality and risk management. Externally, you maintain contact with customers, partners and end users to sharpen technical requirements, ROI/TCO aspects and market logic.

In short: you move effortlessly between strategy and execution—conceptually strong and hands-on when needed.

What you will do

  • Your key tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Leading technically challenging product development programmes involving multiple project teams
  • Translating market trends, customer needs and technological opportunities into concrete development projects
  • Creating and monitoring project plans, roadmaps, deliverables and milestones
  • Managing multidisciplinary project teams and facilitating effective collaboration
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, resource allocation and progress tracking
  • Identifying, analysing, preventing, mitigating and managing risks and bottlenecks
  • Managing stakeholders across the Management Team, Sales, Engineering, Operations and external partners
  • Leading project meetings, reviews and key decision points
  • Ensuring quality, test and validation processes, and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Applying lessons learned and continuously improving the project approach and development processes
  • Translating technical and commercial insights into scalable, valuable and repeatable solutions

Who you are

You are a technically strong, analytical and conceptually minded professional with proven experience leading multidisciplinary development projects in a manufacturing/industrial environment. You understand how technology, market dynamics, business and processes reinforce and influence one another. You have a commercial mindset and can translate customer needs into realistic and distinctive solutions.

You are a strong communicator, assertive and persuasive. You know how to get people on board, provide direction and bring structure to complex projects. You work fact-based, identify risks quickly and have the ability to turn concepts into concrete execution. You are both strategic and hands-on: you think ahead and act pragmatically and in a results-driven way.

  • HBO/University level of working and thinking, with an engineering or technical background
  • Extensive experience in project or programme management within product development
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with diverse development cycles, innovation projects or new business trajectories
  • Commercial acumen: understanding value creation, ROI, TCO and customer interests
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust
  • Process-oriented, analytical, risk-aware and structured in your way of working
  • Conceptual ability combined with pragmatism: strategy and execution
  • Team player who connects people and dares to provide direction
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately once a month for several days)
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English
